Concierge medicine is a relationship between a patient and a Concierge Doctor in which the patient pays an annual fee or retainer. In exchange for the retainer, Abram Berens, M.D. provides enhanced care. Other terms in use include boutique medicine, retainer-based medicine, and innovative medical practice design. The practice is also referred to as membership medicine, VIP medicine, concierge health care, cash only practice, direct primary care, and direct practice medicine.
Direct Primary Care
Direct primary care practices offer greater access and more personalized care to patients in exchange for direct payments from the patient on a monthly or yearly contract. Dr Berens can evaluate the needs and wants of his patients and practice accordingly.
