Questions before laser or IPL treatment
Laser hair removal, IPL and resurfacing are different services. The relevant comparison includes the concern, the actual device, your skin characteristics and the proposed recovery—not simply whether a clinic advertises a laser.
Match the device to the concern
Ask which equipment and approach the practice would use and why. For hair removal, describe the body area, hair characteristics, previous methods and recent sun exposure. For IPL or resurfacing, explain the visible change that concerns you and previous procedures. Device choice requires an individual assessment.
Understand protection and follow-up
Laser hair removal can cause burns, pigment changes or scarring, particularly with inappropriate treatment. Ask about protective eyewear, preparation, aftercare and the plan if a complication occurs. Confirm whether the estimate covers a single visit, a series or later maintenance.
