I just turned 50 and have been seeing him on and off since 20yrs old. Yes, hes spends time with u and is incredibly thorough. 30yrs!! Yes, he spends an hour with u. If u think that is a bad thing, then go somewhere else. In that hour he answers every poss question u may have in detail. He is not interested in treating u like a cow and prodding as many patients in and out as possible. I have never been in his waiting room with another patient. Never wait, and Ive been called to say he is running late. The nicest 2 gals working for him. 2 yrs go by, they know who I am when I call. "hey long time, no see." My skin cancer surgery? I had other docs marvel at the stitches. i think he is expensive, but worth it. Tells u the vitamins u need, and actually looks at u when speaking and lets u have a say, hears u, and prints out info to take home and read. Professional, casual, explains everything. A+

I’m not a fan of doctors. Until I met Dr. Berens. Dr. Berens is very thorough. He is the first south Florida doctors that actually cares about his patients. He is by far my favorite. In the event you need blood drawn, he does it on sight. Everything is very convenient especially if you have a busy work schedule.

First I must comment on the excellent staff Dr. Berens has put together. The girls were friendly, helpful and courteous (even cracked a joke)! The Dr. was very professional, and was able to diagnose my condition and provide a remedy. (went to 2 others and was told basically it is what it is) I am thankful my insurance was accepted. Thank you everyone at the office for your help! Finally I can say I have found my new PCP!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it wasn't for Dr. Beren's insistence that my husband get a stress test, since the former results from another cardiologist's office wouldn't send it to him, my husband would have died. They also took an ekg and found a glitch, put him in the hospital the next day, and had to put a stent in. THANK GOD for Dr. Berens!!! He rocks!!! As for me, he makes sure everything is okay from head to toe! We love him!!!

I have never had a doctor spend as much time with me as Doctor Berens. He is very detailed and thorough in his approach. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He has helped me regain a great portion of my health and for that I am forever grateful. It is hard to find a Doctor who gives a damn and is not just a five minute rubber stamper in this day and age! Also his helper is very inspiring, because she always makes you feel like you CAN get better. Nice to have someone who cheers for you. I should probably add that I am a tough patient in that I have trouble with directions and following Doctor's orders. But I sure feel better thanks to them. Highly Recommended.

I had never experienced a doctor as comprehensive, intelligent, concerned, and 20 additional compliments. When you meet with him, he takes a complete medical history. And when I say complete, it is impossible to describe the amount of time he spends and his thoroughness. He is a hands on doctor ordering ALL the necessary and appropriate tests. It is, I am sure, far better than the treatment by others, like the Mayo Clinic, for example. When you go there, make sure you set aside additional time because he is not in a rush to get you out. It is not an assembly line like with so many other doctors.
